Plumber.Consulting engagements run on the three Trades.Agency plans, so advice and the work behind it are covered by one monthly fee. Plans start at $1,999 per month on month-to-month terms, or $1,499 per month on annual billing. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and plumbers add the GST/HST that applies in their province (in Quebec, GST and QST). The full, current plan details are on the Trades.Agency pricing page.

The three plans

Plan Month-to-month Billed annually What it covers
Growth $1,999/month $1,499/month The core marketing package, sized for an established trades company
Elite $3,999/month $2,999/month For a plumbing firm working several lead sources together; Trades.Agency website design packages come at 50% off
Enterprise $7,999/month $5,999/month Your own dedicated marketing team and priority support, plus a website designed and built at no charge (any package)

All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract, and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. Annual billing lowers the monthly price if you are confident you will stay.

How the plans map to plumbing consulting

The plans are built for trades businesses, and our consulting work sits inside them. In practice, owners tend to use them like this:

  • Growth suits a plumbing company with two to six trucks that needs its marketing measured and its pricing and call handling fixed. The consulting focus is usually one service at a time, such as pricing and profit followed by systems and operations.
  • Elite suits a company running several channels at once, or one that needs a new website, since the plan includes 50% off Trades.Agency website design packages. It leaves room for hiring campaigns alongside customer marketing.
  • Enterprise suits multi-crew firms, companies opening a new service line or location, and owners who want a dedicated team. The free website design and build is a meaningful saving if the current site needs replacing.

We agree in writing at the start which services the first 90 days will cover, so you know exactly what the fee is buying.

What drives the cost of your engagement

The plan sets the monthly fee. A few other factors decide your total marketing and consulting cost:

  1. Ad spend. If you run Google Ads or Local Services Ads, budget for the click costs as well as the plan, and have them billed to an account your company owns.
  2. Number of service lines and areas. A company marketing drains, water heaters and renovation work across three cities needs more pages, campaigns and tracking than a single-line shop in one town.
  3. Website condition. A slow or outdated site often needs rebuilding before any other marketing pays. Elite and Enterprise reduce that cost.
  4. How much your team can do. If you have an office manager who can run follow-up and reviews, less of the plan goes on execution and more on strategy.

Working out whether it pays

Treat the plan fee like any other cost: it has to earn more than it costs. An illustrative example: the Growth plan at $1,999 per month plus 5% GST, as in BC or Alberta, is about $2,099. If your average gross profit per plumbing job is $300, the plan needs to produce roughly seven extra jobs a month, or lift the profit on jobs you already do by the same amount, to pay for itself.

Pricing work often does that on its own. Raising average gross profit by $25 per job on 120 jobs a month is $3,000. Our labour rate guide shows how to check your own numbers before you call.

How to choose

  • Start with Growth if you have one clear problem and a modest budget.
  • Choose Elite if you need a new website or are running several channels.
  • Choose Enterprise if you have multiple crews, more than one service line or location, or want a dedicated team.
  • Choose annual billing only once you are confident in the fit; month-to-month exists so you don't have to gamble.

If you are unsure, the first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses and there is no obligation. Bring your rough numbers and we will tell you which plan, if any, makes sense. You can also read the FAQ, see results from our HVAC work, or contact us by call, text or email.

Frequently asked questions

Is advertising spend part of the plan fee?

Treat them as two separate things and confirm the split in writing before you start. We recommend that any Google or Local Services ad spend is charged to an ad account in your company's name, so you can see every dollar the platforms bill.

What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?

The same plan costs less per month on annual billing: $1,499 instead of $1,999 for Growth, $2,999 instead of $3,999 for Elite, and $5,999 instead of $7,999 for Enterprise. Month-to-month costs more but can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.

Do you charge for the first conversation?

No. Eligible trades businesses get the opening 30-minute consultation at no charge; it sits outside the paid plans, and nothing obliges you to sign up afterwards.

Are prices in Canadian dollars?

Yes. All prices are in Canadian dollars, and plumbing owners add GST/HST for their province, or GST and QST in Quebec.
